Licensing & pricing

5 questions
How much does PinDrift cost?

Four options. A True Free Trial starts at your first spoof, no card. Monthly at $4/month, cancel anytime. Yearly at $20/year, save 58% vs. Monthly. Lifetime at $50 once, own your installed version. PinDriftBox is $249 one-time and bundles Lifetime plus a headless build for a Raspberry Pi.

How many computers can I install PinDrift on?

One active host PC at a time, with one free transfer per 180 days. PinDrift's design has a single computer doing all the work (the tunnel, the daemon, the spoof loop) while phones plug into it. The license is bound to that one PC.

Switching machines is free, just rate-limited: sign in to pindrift.app/account, deactivate the old PC, then sign in on the new PC with the same email. The transfer itself is instant and costs nothing. After it lands, a 180-day cooldown applies before you can transfer again, this keeps the seat from being passed around as a roving entitlement. Genuine emergencies (theft, hardware failure) can be expedited with documentation; contact us.

How many phones can I spoof at once?

Up to 10 iPhones spoofing simultaneously on a single host PC. They all show up in the device list and can be edited individually or together. The "one active host PC" rule applies to your computer, not the phones connected to it.

If you need to run more than 10 phones at once, the right architecture is one PinDriftBox per pod of phones. Details in the multi-device scaling doc. Android is on the roadmap and will share the same concurrent cap when it ships.

Do you offer a trial?

Yes. Every fresh install gets a real spoofing trial with no card required. The clock starts when you successfully apply your first spoofed location, not at install, not at app launch. Setup time (installing PinDrift, pairing the phone, accepting Developer Mode, configuring routes) doesn't burn trial time.

After the trial ends, spoofing locks until you activate a paid plan (Monthly $4, Yearly $20, or Lifetime $50). The trial runs continuously once it starts; closing the app does not pause the timer.

Do you offer refunds?

No, because the A True Free Trial replaces them. Real spoofing time before you pay is enough to verify PinDrift works on your hardware and with the apps you care about, especially since installation, setup, and route-building happen outside the trial clock.

Once you decide to pay, the purchase is final. The narrow exceptions are genuine compatibility breaks (extended iOS incompatibility after a system update we can't fix in a reasonable window) which we review case-by-case via contact. Full details: Terms section 5.

What PinDrift does

6 questions
What is PinDrift, exactly?

A desktop application for Windows and macOS that lets you set the GPS coordinates your iPhone reports to apps on it. You pick a place on a map, click apply, and the phone now believes it's there. Every app on the phone that reads GPS, Maps, weather apps, social check-ins, dating apps, fitness trackers, reads the spoofed location. Android support is on the roadmap.

Does PinDrift work over Wi-Fi or only USB?

Both. The first connection is over USB so the phone can establish trust with your PC. After that, you can use PinDrift over Wi-Fi for as long as the phone is on the same network. Wireless mode docs.

Does the spoof persist when I unplug?

No, not on its own. iOS clears the simulated location the moment the controlling machine disconnects, that's by Apple's design and we can't bypass it without jailbreaking the phone (which PinDrift does not do). PinDriftBox solves this by hosting the connection on a small Raspberry Pi that doesn't disconnect.

Does my phone need to be jailbroken or rooted?

No. PinDrift uses Apple's built-in Developer Mode (iOS 17+), a user-toggleable setting on a stock iPhone. No jailbreak, no root, no carrier unlock, no Mac, no Xcode. When Android support ships, it'll use Android's standard Developer Options the same way, no root, no Android Studio.

Will my phone get banned for using PinDrift?

Apple and Google don't ban devices for spoofing GPS. Specific apps may detect spoofing and restrict your account, Pokémon Go is the famous one, but ride-share apps, dating apps, and banking apps also check. PinDrift makes no warranty against third-party app actions and our Terms say so explicitly.

If you care about a specific app, test on a throwaway account first.

Can PinDrift hide that I'm spoofing?

iOS sets a software flag (isSimulatedBySoftware) on every simulated location, and any app can read it. PinDrift can't suppress that flag without jailbreak, nothing host-side can.

We do offer behavioral realism (GPS jitter, plausible accuracy values, terrain altitude, smooth speed transitions) which defeats apps that look at how a location stream behaves. But apps that explicitly check the simulated-by-software flag (Pokémon Go, Snapchat, several banks) will know.

Platform & compatibility

4 questions
What iPhones does PinDrift support?

iPhones running iOS 17 or newer (iPhone 13 and later). Full matrix on the Compatibility page. Android support is on the roadmap; once it ships the planned floor is Android 12 or newer.

Does PinDrift work on Mac?

Yes. macOS 13 or later, universal binary (Apple Silicon and Intel). Same feature set as the Windows build.

First launch needs a right-click → Open to clear Gatekeeper (we don't yet pay for Apple's Developer Program), after that it launches normally. PinDriftBox is the headless option if you'd rather run it on a Raspberry Pi, see the PinDriftBox page.

What if iOS updates break PinDrift?

Apple updates the developer-mode plumbing every year and sometimes breaks compatibility for a stretch. We watch for this and ship updates, usually within a week of a major iOS release, sometimes faster. Your installed version keeps working; updates are free for the life of every paid plan.

Will PinDrift work on a brand-new iOS version the day it ships?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Apple often changes things in iOS major releases that require us to ship a fix. We test PinDrift against developer betas to minimize the lag. If you're on Apple's beta program and PinDrift breaks, contact us, we prioritize beta-cycle fixes.

Privacy & safety

3 questions
Does PinDrift see where I'm spoofing to?

No. PinDrift never transmits the locations you pick, the routes you build, or your real GPS to our servers. The license server only sees usage counters (integers like "active-spoof seconds today") and your hardware fingerprint hash. Privacy Policy.

Can I use PinDrift on someone else's phone?

No. Per our Acceptable Use Policy, PinDrift is for use only on devices and accounts you own or are explicitly authorized to use. Using it on someone else's device without their consent is a violation of the AUP and can be illegal under stalking and computer-fraud laws in most jurisdictions.

Operational

4 questions
I can't sign in to my account.

Sign in at pindrift.app/account with the email you bought with. We email a one-time sign-in link to that address, no password to remember.

If you've also lost access to the email itself, contact us and we'll verify ownership another way.

How do I move PinDrift to a new computer?

Sign in to pindrift.app/account, find your active device, click Deactivate. Then install on the new PC and sign in with the same email. No support ticket needed.

How do I cancel?

If you bought the Lifetime there's nothing to cancel, it's a one-time purchase with no recurring billing. If you're on Monthly, cancel from your account portal at pindrift.app/account.

The A True Free Trial replaces refunds, so once a Lifetime purchase is made it's final. Genuine compatibility breaks are reviewed case-by-case via contact.

What if PinDrift the company goes away?

Your installed version keeps working. PinDrift doesn't need our servers online for normal operation.

If we ever permanently shut down, we'll publish a final notice with the migration path.
