You are on a phone. Apple lets no website install an app on one, so PinDrift does it from your computer over the cable. Send yourself the link and carry on there.

If something goes wrong

The handful of things that trip people up, and what to do about each.

The Trust prompt never appeared

Unlock the iPhone, then unplug the cable and plug it back in. iOS only offers that prompt to a phone that is already awake. If it still does not appear, try a different cable: plenty of them carry power only.

Windows does not see the iPhone

Install Apple Devices from the Microsoft Store, or iTunes. That is where the iPhone USB driver comes from, and Windows cannot reach the phone without it. If it is already installed, reboot.

It asks for Developer Mode

On the iPhone: Settings, Privacy & Security, Developer Mode, on. The phone restarts and asks once more to confirm. Apple requires a passcode for this, not us.

Apple asked for a verification code

That is Apple's own two-factor check. The six digits appear on a device already signed in to your Apple ID. Type them into PinDrift and they go straight back to Apple.

Apple would not accept the sign-in

Check the address and password, then approve the prompt on your trusted Apple device. Your password goes to Apple and nowhere else. We never see it and keep no copy.

The app stopped opening after about a week

Apple gives the app seven days, then removes it. Re-signing it before that is what a plan buys, and with one the phone does it by itself. If yours has already lapsed, open PinDrift on the computer while signed in and connect the phone once.

The phone says the licence is not recognised

Connect the iPhone to PinDrift on your computer once. That writes a fresh licence to the phone. If you have just bought a plan, sign in on the computer first.
