PinDrift vs GhostMe

A polished subscription tool, and the cheapest first year on this list if you only want a year.

This page is written by PinDrift, so read it the way you would read any comparison written by one of the two products in it. What we can do is show our own losses, put the numbers where you can check them, and say plainly which parts we could not verify. That is the version worth publishing.

Where GhostMe is better

Their yearly is $42.95 against our $60, so for the first year GhostMe costs less, and if you need this for one summer it is the cheaper answer. Their app is also more polished than ours in places.

Where we are better

There is no lifetime option at all, so the cost never stops: three years of GhostMe is roughly $129 against $70 once for us. There is no iPhone app, which means the phone cannot hold a location on its own, and no live speed control. We publish a free trial with no card; we could not find one for GhostMe.

The difference that is not on the table

Every tool here, ours included, is a desktop program driving a tethered iPhone. The thing that separates PinDrift is that there is also an app on the phone, included in every paid plan, so the phone can hold and move its own location once it is installed. That is also where Anti-Speed runs: a live governor that holds the speed you report at the limit while the car does whatever it is doing. Nothing else on this page offers it.

What we could not verify

Everything above came from Stino Systems LLC’s own pages. These did not, so they are listed rather than asserted:

• Whether a trial exists behind an account signup. Nothing on their public pages offers one.
• How many iPhones one GhostMe subscription covers. They do not publish a device count.

If you work at Stino Systems LLC and any of it is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

Which should you actually buy

If you need this for a few months, buy GhostMe. Their year is $42.95 against our $60 and we are not going to pretend otherwise. If you expect to still want it in two years, or you want the phone to hold a location without a computer plugged into it, ours is the cheaper and the more capable answer.
