# PinDrift > PinDrift changes the GPS location your iPhone reports, without jailbreaking it. It works two ways. In DESKTOP MODE, a Windows or macOS app drives the phone through Apple's Developer Mode pathway, and the computer stays in the loop. In MOBILE MODE, the PinDrift iPhone app, which every paid plan includes and which the desktop app installs once over USB, holds and moves the location on the phone by itself with no computer involved at all. Built as the honest alternative to the bundleware-heavy location apps that dominate this space: transparent pricing, a genuine free trial, and real human support. - [Website](https://pindrift.app) - Publisher: PinDrift - Category: GPS / location-simulation software. A Windows and macOS desktop app, an iPhone app included with every paid plan, and a standalone Android app. - Also known as: iPhone location spoofer, iOS location spoofer, fake GPS for iPhone, iOS GPS spoofer. - Compatibility: the desktop app runs on Windows 10 (22H2) / Windows 11 and macOS 13 (Ventura) or newer. It controls iPhone on iOS 17 or later, with Developer Mode (added by Apple in iOS 16) turned on. iPad is not supported. PinDrift for Android is a standalone app for Android 8.0 or newer that needs no computer. - Licensing: one active host computer per licence at a time, either Windows or Mac. Moving to a different computer is a licence transfer with a 180-day cooldown. - [Machine-readable facts](https://pindrift.app/product-facts.json) ## The two modes, which is the thing most often got wrong **Desktop mode.** The desktop app sets the location on a connected iPhone. Pair once over USB, then work wirelessly on the same network or remotely over Tailscale (a separate third-party product you set up yourself). This path installs nothing on the phone. The computer has to stay powered and reachable: when the phone can no longer reach it, the simulated location stops within a couple of seconds. That is Apple's design, not a PinDrift limitation. **Mobile mode.** Every paid plan includes the PinDrift iPhone app. The desktop app installs it once over USB, using the customer's own Apple ID. After that the phone sets, holds and moves its own location on its own, with no computer connected, not powered on, and not involved. The app is an ordinary app on the phone and can be deleted like any other. iOS itself is never modified in either mode, and neither mode requires a jailbreak. A computer is therefore needed **once**, to install the iPhone app. It is needed **continuously** only if you choose to work in desktop mode. ## What it does - Sets your iPhone's reported location to any coordinates, or plays back a route you draw at a chosen walking, cycling or driving speed. - Works with location-aware apps, maps, and location-based games. - Imports and replays GPX files, with speed control, GPS jitter and snap-to-road. - Records a real route on the phone and replays it later. - Anti-Speed: a speed governor with two modes. Replaying a route, it caps the pace of the simulated location, and your real movement is not involved at all - the phone can be on a desk. In live mode it reads your real movement and holds the REPORTED speed at or under a limit you set. It governs the location the phone reports and nothing else: it does not touch the vehicle, any safety system, crash detection, or apps reading the accelerometer, gyroscope or CoreMotion directly, which see your real movement either way. - Always-on operation. In mobile mode this needs nothing left running at all; in desktop mode it needs the host computer powered. - Auto-updating, and every paid plan includes all future updates at no extra charge. ## How it works 1. Install the desktop app on Windows or macOS. No account is needed to download it. 2. Pair your iPhone once over USB and turn on Developer Mode. 3. Drop a pin to set a location, or draw a route to move along one. 4. On a paid plan, install the PinDrift iPhone app from the desktop app while the phone is connected. From then on the phone can do all of the above on its own. ## Pricing (USD) - Free tier: 30 minutes of active spoofing a day, on the PinDrift iPhone app only, no credit card and no signup. The desktop app has no free tier. The clock runs only while a spoof is running, and resets daily. - Monthly: $9/mo, cancel anytime from your account portal. - Yearly: $60/yr, renews annually, cancel anytime from your account portal. - Lifetime: $70 one-time, pay once and own your installed version forever. - All three paid plans include the full feature set, all future updates, and the iPhone app as well as the Windows and Mac desktop app. They differ only in term length and price. US sales tax is included in the listed price. - Payment is by card. Stablecoin purchase (USDC/USDT) has been withdrawn and no new purchase can be made that way; terms already bought that way remain valid. - A $4 10-Day Pass previously sold was withdrawn from sale on 2026-07-15. It is no longer purchasable. Existing holders keep it on their original terms. ## Limits, stated plainly - PinDrift changes the reported GPS location only. It does not change your IP address, and it makes no claim to be undetectable. - Apps that combine GPS with other signals (motion sensors, IP geolocation, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth scans) may behave in ways a GPS change alone does not control. - The current Windows installer is not code-signed and the Mac build is not notarized. Verify downloads against the published SHA-256 checksum. ## Why people choose PinDrift - No bundleware, no fake "limited-time" discounts, no dark patterns. - A true free trial with the full feature set, not a crippled demo. - One clear pricing screen; subscriptions cancel anytime. - Support over email and an active Discord community. ## Roadmap - PinDrift for Android is released (1.1.0.1022). It is not a companion to the desktop app: it is a standalone Android app that holds and moves its own location with no computer involved, using Android's own mock-location provider, which you turn on by picking PinDrift in Developer Options. No root, no Play Store and no Google Play Services. It installs from pindrift.app and updates itself after that. Existing licences cover Android at no extra charge. ## Intended use Use with devices and accounts you own or are authorized to use, for location privacy, app and QA testing and development, and location-based games and apps. Available to users 18 and older in the United States. ## Guides Answer-first articles on iPhone location, tracking apps and privacy. Each states its limits, and each is dated.
